Donahue Memorial Run

Registration for the 13th Annual Donahue Memorial Run is now live!  You can register online at RunSignUp.com or download and print the PDF registration form by clicking here: 2018 Donahue Memorial Run Registration Form.

Here are some key things to note:

• Location remains at Lyons Community Park.
• Event includes 5K walk/run, 10K race and a 1 mile fun walk.
• Early bird registration ($20) through 8/19.
• Cost for the 5K and 10K races remain the same this year.
• Student price of $10 is only available via mail-in or race day registration.
• T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations up thru Sun 9/9. Any registrations after will be subject to availability.
• Deadline for online registration is Friday 9/14. After that, registration must be morning of the race.

Returning to Lyons this year, the courses are very similar to the original course run when the event first started.  All courses start and finish in Lyons Community Park. The mile fun walk course loops around the northeast corner of Lyons. The 5K course is very similar to the original 5K route, including the out-and-back portion north on Adrian Street/County Road 10-3.  The 10K course mirrors the 5K course all the way to the final turn onto Lincoln Street, where it instead continues back into town and heads west to the fire hall, then runs a long loop south of town before returning to finish in the park.

• A 10K race distance has been added
• Cost for the 5K and 10K races are the same this year.
• Student price of $10 is only available via mail-in or race day registration.
• T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations up thru Sat 9/9. Any registrations after will be subject to availability.
• Deadline for online registration is Thursday 9/14. After that, registration must be morning of the race.

We’re excited to return to the Lyons Community Park as a throwback to the event’s origins.  This also gives us the ability to add a 10K option; something very difficult to do at Evergreen High School because of the railroad crossings and Central Avenue.

– 10K (6.2 miles) in Lyons and on county roads
**Splits at 1 and 2 miles; water station at halfway point of 5K
